Postdoctoral Fellow

We are looking for highly self-motivated individuals to join our lab in projects deciphering novel functions of the ubiquitin pathway in tumor cell metabolism, dormany, and immune evasion (Qing et al, Nature Communications 2019; Han et al. Nature Communications 2019). The lab uses multidisciplinary approaches to address a very dynamic range of scientific questions in cancer biology and beyond. Postdoctoral fellows in the lab are encouraged to receive career development training for future independent research positions.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Passionate about biomedical research, a good team player and multi-tasker!
  • Experience in molecular biology, cell biology and biochemistry techniques including cloning, virus delivery system, CRISPR/Cas9 system, DNA/RNA manipulation, protein purification, and immunoblot.
  • With mouse modeling and small animal imaging experience.
  • And/or with immunology experience.
  • Basic imaging techniques including immunofluorescence, living color imaging.
  • Basic bioinformatics skills.
  • Previous experience in next-generation sequencing techniques (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, etc) and/or proteomics is a plus.
  • Previous experience in proteomics/metalomics is a plus.

Credentials and Qualifications:

  • MD or PhD in Cancer Biology, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Genetics or related.

Cancer Biology Ph.D. Student

We are looking for undergraduates interested in cancer research to join our lab. The students will be directly supervised by the PI to quickly develop bench, data analysis and grantsmanship skills. The students will be mentored based on their research interess and career plans.
